Here are the main questions you should ask each agency when renting a car. Many of the answers are about the lease somewhere. 1. How much does the Agency calculate to refuel a car? 2. How much of the rental fee is taxable? What is the cost of collision damage coverage and what are the restrictions? 4. How many free kilometres does the Agency offer each day and how much is the charge per kilometre above? What is the cost of returning a car to a point of sale other than the one where it was rented? 6. What are the restrictions on special weekend prices? What is the amount of the penalty for the late return of a car and is there an additional delay before this sentence is pronounced? Additional Liability Protection (SLP) can be between $16.00 and $15.00 per day. Supplementary Liability Protection (SLP) is offered at the time of rental for a daily fee. The purchase of SLP is optional and is not necessary to rent a car.

Weinberg of Manhattan has filed the first class action lawsuit against a car rental company for «unscrupulous charges,» which the city`s consumer department considers «unscrupulous accusations.» The Consumer Affairs Department and the Attorney General`s Office joined the complaint. This applies in particular to declarations of renunciation in small rental agencies. Major car rental agencies cover damages in excess of $3,000, but say customers must pay the first $3,000 if they don`t pay for the collision cancellation declaration. The declaration of non-damage (DW) is between $11.99 and $16.99 per day. DW is offered at the time of rental for a daily fee.
If the renter agrees to DW, the company waives or reduces the renter`s liability for loss or damage to the rental vehicle (including, but not limited to, towing, storage, loss of use, administrative costs and/or depreciation), subject to the terms of the rental agreement and applicable laws. DW is not insurance. The purchase of DW is optional and is not necessary to rent a car. The protection granted by DW may duplicate the tenant`s existing coverage. The company is not qualified to assess the suitability of the tenant`s existing coverage. Therefore, the renter should check their credit card protection, auto insurance, or other sources of coverage that may duplicate the protection afforded by the DW.. . . .
